| Hi, I don't have one of those tanks but smoke oil that the model rail guys use should work ok.
Also if you want a realistic looking tank steer away from that Panther, its known in the hobby as the 'pantiger ' its just a panther turret on a tiger chassis.
The henlong tanks break down easily, and the smoke unit is usually the first component to burn out, I doubt you will get through the smoke oil that comes with the tank before its broken!
Hope this helps. |

| Mr Chow,
There are currently no organised activities in Auckland for any tanks other than Tamiya 1/16 tanks fitted with an IR combat system.
As we hold our events at a public venue, MOTAT we don't allow the operation of BB tanks.
Also the IR Vs tanks are not able to interface with the Tamiya tanks.
Sorry I can't be of any help.

| Charles, our new website is www.rctc.co.nz . We are actively developing the rc tank scene, with two clubs in NZ and one in Aust so far . We are also a member of RCACN www.rcacn.com I would be happy to explain more about that, and arrange for your club to be granted membership. If you could email me directly on tankduel@xtra.co.nz that would be great.

We use the Tamiya Battle System which is infa-red.
The tanks emit an explosion sound and rock back and forth when hit,as well the engine noise changes to a damaged sound and top speed is reduced.
A medium tank (sherman) can fire every 5 seconds and it takes 5 hits to kill it. A heavy tank
(Tiger or Pershing) can fire every 9 seconds and needs to be hit 9 times to be killed.
The combat system works up to 30metres,hits are sensed on the 4 'square points' of the turret,a tank ... |

| This new magazine is now available in NZ. On the Battlefront has articles about all types of RC tanks, from micro tanks through to 1/6 scale monsters.
The mag is sold as a fundraiser for the Auckland RC Tank Club and can be purchased at Hobby City ,who are keen supporters of the club.
